Disability 101 Challenge

The reason
October is National Disability Awareness Month and an important time for your company to raise awareness that people with disabilities represent 20 percent of the American population and could easily be customers, job applicants, colleagues, friends, neighbors, and families. Given that fact, it is vitally important for companies to become more understanding and inclusive of this large minority group.

The challenge
Bobby Dodd Institute (BDI), the nonprofit host of Disability 101, challenges companies to increase their disability awareness levels by encouraging as many staffers as possible to participate in this valuable online learning. Companies do not have to make a formal commitment in order to participate. The site’s optional participation log will track employees who voluntarily go through Disability 101 and a report will be generated for you.

If you are going to participate in Disability 101 and would like for your company or government agency to receive a participation credit, please fill out the information below.*

This is a great opportunity to showcase your company’s commitment to both disability awareness and to corporate social responsibility.
